|Bears may be able to climb trees, but there aren't
many reports of them getting into aircraft, so hopefully a quick sprint
- which would probably be an unofficial record-breaking one - could get
one back to the Cessna (first!). By the way, in this photograph, you can
easily spot the rudder on the right -hand float. Connected to the pedals,
this permits steering on the water. The arrangement seemed very effective.
In the distance, the Chugach mountain range.
||Returning, and making a left-hand approach,
the close relationship between Spenard lake and the "hard" runways must
make this one of the world's more unusual International Airports.
