Cannard's
Grave comes just after the bridge carrying the former GWR line over the
S&D. After bucketing down from that high point, notorious for
problems in Winter, and with Evercreech to our left, we round the curve
into Evercreech Junction. Given the handy pub, it's rôle as
a watering hole is by no means restricted to the needs of the motive power
calling there!
Continuing over the level crossing, behind BR

The "branch" (originally
main line!) train comes forward on the centre lane,before reversing back
to the platform, left.
